Call me crazy but if I’m not mistaken, puffy coats are in this year. I have seen so many of them around and I want one very badly. My dream of having the perfect pea coat is fastly being overshadowed by a need for a warm, puff ball of fabric.

So as I posted a while back, the book skinny bitch changed my life by inspiring me to become vegetarian! That was probably the best decision I've ever made and have been going strong for a year and 3 months I believe. Honestly, I can't see myself returning to eating dead animals because of many reasons that I could go on an on about including animal cruelty, environmental issues, poverty and also big health issues.

Recently I decided that I wanted to venture into a more vegan lifestyle (no animal byproduct at all) including dairy, eggs, leather etc... unfortunately I will still be wearing my pairs of uggs this winter because I bought them a few years ago and even though it's hard to forgive myself, I don't want a new pair of boots just yet.

Throughout the year I have tried many, many vegetarian products and I have to say most of them are extremely impressive - I would kill your kid for a veggie burger. Just kidding. But really, some places like Kelsey's and Mr. Green Jeans make killer veg burgers.

As I'm preparing for a vegan-esque lifestyle my mom is trying to by me more products and I'm going to tell you a few of my favorites:

- rice dream (vegan ice cream)
- silk (soy milk)
- so nice! (soy milk)
- kashi go lean crunch cereal
- kashi cereal bars (seriously incredible)

So far I really love Kashi. And I have two milks down here because I started with Silk which is so delicious but I found that recently it's been going bad way before the expiration date and I just don't drink that much (every couple mornings in my cereal and tea) so I switched to So Nice this week and it has been quite impressive and even has less calories.

Now I must admit, fully vegan means I have to give up my hot chocolate and I just don't think I could do that. Especially in the winter. Call me a hypocrite but I love me some hot chocolate. The ratio is about 90% water to chocolate mix anyways right?

p.s. you can find almost any regular type of meat in veggie style and though it doesn't taste the same, some of it even taste better!

so if you have ever wanted to be a vegetarian or vegan start today! change your lifestyle! become a new you, feel better, and feel right!

hello all!

Today, on my very long two hour break, I decided to walk fifteen minutes in very cold weather to go to Starbucks. The whole way there I was dreaming about buying a skinny latte or perhaps trying a new holiday special. So, i get to the cash and i go to grab my wallet only to remember that I didn't put my wallet in my backpack. yay.

So all stupidity aside, I pulled my laptop out (drink free) and plugged in my earphones and realized how beautiful it is in here. The vibe and the aura and everything about it. I haven't been out to stores a lot this week but I am extremely excited to start looking at and feeling the holiday cheer. It really does make you feel special.

As well, I am currently ~~eavesdropping~~ overhearing a conversation that is happening at another table in Starbucks. From what I gather it is a wedding planner and the soon to be husband and wife. The girl is absolutely stunning and natural looking and I am so happy even though I don't know who they are. It sounds like they are tying the knot very soon.

Today there is a hopeful mood in the air and I like it.

this probably wasn't very important for you but I guess my post is about finding happiness in whatever you can. For me, today at least, it's sitting in a nice environment, seeing two people who are going to be married soon which provides proof to me that some kind of love exists!

I find happiness in simplicity today.

after two nights of eating extremely shitily, i'm giving up all my candy tomorrow
it really really does not feel good, i can physically feel myself expanding... so i'm done with candy and chips for a while :) at least until canada gets too cold and hot chocolate (with extra whipped cream) is needed!

anywho, there is no set time for Christmas season to start so after i'm done rearranging my room this week i will be putting up all my decorations for winter/ Christmas including a ferocious amount of candles, garland, lights, red green, gold etc... and that Christmas playlist I've been avoiding for months? oh yeah it'll be playing non stop!

For me to really enjoy my Christmas season I must get a job and unfortunately that is so not as easy as it seems.

Oh well! I'll rob a bank so I can buy all my friends and family the presents that I want to.

todays topic is hair!
When it comes to styling hair, I am not one to judge. I absolutely envy girls who do the edgy thing. I envy girls who try new things and embrace their manes. Personally I think for fall, darker is better. Unless you have gorgeous natural blonde hair. Actually, dark doesn't necessarily mean brown black or red... a dirty blonde could work too!

Some great looks for fall and winter are a sleek, shiny doo with a touch of volume, or loose, shiny curls.

I think the trick is to really aim for that shine since our face gets paler and hair duller, a nice shine looks goregous against the sometimes harsh weather in Canada.

OMG - I cannot tell you how much i very much aprove of hair accessories, headbands, jeweled bobbypins, brooches, etc...

I think the big difference between summer and fall is that in the summer you want a more laid back, natural, easy flow and in the winter I feel you're hair should be a little more fabulous. Still natural, just a little more classier and put together. Don't hesitate to add a little or a lot of your inner crazy though.

well girls and guys, i have figured out recently that fall is my favorite season! WHY is it not summer anymore you wonder? well let me tell you my fellow fashionistas

Fall is fabulous. fall has my favorite materials and colours (dark, dark, DARK) and a little bit sparkly too! fall has my favorite weather (warm enough to not have to stay inside all the time, cold enough to wear beautiful sweaters and scarfs and play with all the items in my closet!). I pull out my snuggie and my slippers and curl up with friends or maybe a book and my laptop. And don't forget the hot chocolate with extra whipped cream! To me it's close to perfection.

Of course fall has all my favorite shows like vampire diaries, gg, oth, glee, buried life etc........ i like all shows.

Something that I am looking so forward to this year is buying tons of warm, comfy, knit sweaters for fall and winter!

and also the fact that Taylor Swifts new album Speak Now is coming out in less than a week. I cannot tell you how relieved my mother will be - 15 or so other taylor songs than the thirty i've been listening for the last few years every couple months for full months at a time. She knows all the worls - awesome mother.

how many times can we look in the mirror and mentally complain about the things we don't like about ourselves? the answer is an ungodly number. it's time to make a change.

But it's not always that simple. We need inspiration for those days like today where I'd rather be lying down watching movies and thinking about the things I should be doing than actually getting up off my ass and doing them.

Some tips for looking and feeling better:

find inspiration: read articles on success stories or read motivational books like Skinny Bitch

eat healthier: complex carbs, lots of FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, tons of water

work out whenever you can: if you have a spurt of energy - go for a run. if you have to go somewhere - walk or ride your bike.

self esteem: instead of thinking negatively, come up with lists of things you like about yourself and when you get compliments do not brush them off but really think about them and think "they wouldn't say it if it wasn't true"

There are a ton of things you can do to change your life in a positive way! Guarantee you will feel and look better by making healthy changes like those.

alright starting off simple:
1. If you don't love summer, you're insane.
2. If you don't think summer is long enough, you are completely sane.
and because of the fact that summer is way too short, we want to jam pack every possible thing into these two little months.
here is a list of my to-do's this summer:
1. get a killer tan
2. party
3. shop
4. go for daily runs
5. eat healthy
6. go to the beach multiple times
7. try new things; food, fashion, friends etc...
8. go to Wonderland multiple times
..... and the list goes on and on and on and on.

A few things to get down pact is that BIKINIS do not have to match. Sunglasses tans are not cute. Skimpy anything is not cute - unless you have a killer mod like Miley. Ease up on the bronzer. Tie-dye is the bomb. Be wise with colours - though in summer you can go crazy. Sweats are okay.... most of the time.

MUSIC As of right now i'm obsessed with dynamite - taio cruz and anything LMFAO for the summer time. But if you want some easy jams to listen to while your tanning or reading a good book while floating on your raft and sipping on spiked ice tea check out Glorianna and Rascal Flatts. Also, shoot me if you must, but I am a huge miley fan and can't be tamed is possibly the most catchy song ever.

A tip to my fellow rockstars: calm down with the hair products, hot water and hot irons. You'll be swimming and camping out all summer so chances are it will live on the top of your head in a messy bun or down - it will help your hair in the long run if you leave it be for a while. You'll probably end up growing a new fondess for your hair if you let it breathe too. It's science proven. just kidding. but really, i know my stuff.

I love the beach, sun and surfing. I've never surfed, I've been to the beach a total of maybe 5 times in my life, I live in Canada, yes all that is true. But the the truest extent of my happiness was found either at the beach or in and around some body of water.

In case you haven't noticed my friends, stores are loaded with surf-inspired looks this spring. AND I'M ECSTATIC. Truly.

TIE DYE, SHREDDED SHIRTS, FUNKY COLOURS, WILD HAIR, ACID WASH.

It's all totally rocking my world. And as soon as I have money to burn my pockets will be on fire... and then on E.

Seriously dude, if I could rock these looks all year round I would. It's fun and carefree.

Black acid splashed T with ripped light wash shorts... Tie dye bathing suit with a shredded cover up and shorts... a chill dress with flip flops and retro sun glasses and sun dried hair.

I think I'll cry when September comes around and I have to revert back to hibernating inside as much as humanly possible.

Some say it's too early for this... but I say it is NEVER too early too start celebrating this fantastic time of year.

Maybe you thought that Halloween was my favorite time of year... but my love for Halloween is a mare strand of hair on a fully grown bear's back compared to Christmas.

It's something about the way people act around this time. There is joy and passion and best of all love thick in the air. Maybe that's the my breathe that I'm seeing but there is no mistaking the change of atmosphere.
I start early because I want to hold on to this feeling for as long as possible. Especially today when so many people are depressed... we all need this boost in spirit.

I love the music, the smell, the movies, the food, the clothes, the receiving of gifts, the GIVING of gifts...

I have already started my playlist... and listen to it all the time. I've started watching my Christmas themed movies and made my wish list.

I also went shopping for the first time in a while with my sister who bought me an early Christmas gift - the magic makeup Bare Minerals - and the mall exudes Christmas in all forms... and it's only November! I bought a bunch of knit sweaters for the season too.

So make your playlists, make your gift lifts and screw your diets... it's Christmas time for heavens sake!

So, I've been searching through websites of all my favorite stores, browsing through their fall clothing and I'm loving what I'm seeing.

From the colour schemes to the fabrics to the designs... it's all so warm and exciting. Lots of browns and neutrals. Lots of plaid. Lots of satin, velvet (in controled portions) and other things that I want to rip off the screen and wear tomorrow.

It looks like black is huge again but let's be honest, when won't it be? It can be as bold or a dull as you want it to be.

Browns and rustic colours are so great for the fall too. It reminds me of leaves when I see it.

A for formals and evenings out the selection is similar to last year... sleak and pretty sopisticated. Less is more. Clear lines, plain and deep coloured material. Fine details. They've got some crazier stuff also but as far as trends fo I'd say not much has changed over the year.

As we're nearing the end of 2009 I think it's nice to have a heads up on what to expect for next year. Long boots baby! Like really long.

Shoulder pads are making a come back... hey, I love the 80's. But don't go over board okay?

And tights! Tights under skirts... maybe a nice burgundy pair under a plaid high wasted or a grey pair under a leather mini... You can have a lot of fun with these babies.

And last but certainly not least for today is jewelry. Make a statement with your jewelry. Subtle but still really important. Weather it's peace sign earing - which I'm dying to go shop for - or a brooch or a thick chain. It really makes a difference in the outfit... and the person.

I'm going to get deep here for a moment...

Remember that when you are getting ready for something; putting on your clothes, your make up, jewelry etc... you are doing it for yourself. Make sure you feel good in what you're wearing. And if that means track pants then go the hell and do it. If you love fashion than be as fashionable as possible. To me fashion is a way of expressing myself. Through colours, materials, shapes, patterns... it can send a thousand different messages and possibly says more about yourself than an essay could. Feel good about what you do. And make a difference.

Guess what is only a short month away?!

Hallo-freaking-ween!

I don't know why I'm SO excited this year... maybe because I totally dig scary movies right now... or perhaps all the vamp hype but whatever the case is I'm stoked.

This may be the nerdiest thing in the world but my favorite movies around this time have been and always will be HALLOWEEN TOWN 1,2,3 and 4. Yes, I know... not scary but EXTREMELY awesome. okay?

I once decorated my room with leaves, cob webs, stickers, black lights, blue lights, candles and all sorts of decorations just because my family isn't in to decorating and stuff... I even bought a soundtrack of scary sounds to put in my room.

This year I think I'll settle for decorating the yard all out. Pumpkins and everything baby!

Costumes are always the hardest though... last year I bought a cute black lace dress, put red lipstick on said "I'm a vampire?" to anyone who asked just because I wanted the dress. But this year I want to actually be something. It's difficult... sexy but not slutty, creative but not weird etc..

I've always dug the whole masquerade thing too... if you're throwing a party this year maybe go that root.

A lot of websites also have crazy recipes that look like scary things but really are edible. And some easy to make decorations that are super fun with friends.

And lest not forget haunted houses and tours around October like Fear Fest at Wonderland... one of the only perks of living in this bo-ring place.

this isn't the last I'll talk about Halloween since it IS a month away but I just had to talk about my love for the holiday. 2nd best next to Christmas of course.

fall/winter nail polish

BUT
i do have a few hot topics for ya...

First is... Nail Polish baby!

My favorite brand of nail polish is OPI. I know not very original but they have almost every colour imaginable and all my favorites are suitable for this season.

I love deep and matte colours on my nails. Some really popular ones are the so-dark-it's-almost-black-but-not!

pictures of nail polish aren't really acurate but this is my all time favorite that I wear most frequently:

Anyways... anything matte is great for fall/ winter!

I used to hardly ever wear nail polish - yes, I'm pretty low maintenance - but I really love it now. It gives you a chance to make 20 little statements all at once. The colour you choose expresses your mood or sometimes just matched your outfit but whatever the case... it's actually a neat little invention.

Another great one for fall is Arragon Tomorrow ... it's a really really dark green

So get on that!

because back to school - though it means homework and petty highschool drama - it ALSO means HOT HOT HOT shows. New seasons, new series and unfortunately some finales!

Gossio Girl, OTH, 90210, Melrose Place, Vampire Diaries, The Beautiful Life....

As you may tell I am a bit of a CW fanatic. Just a tiny bit.

Anyhoo... Gossip Girl season 3 premiered this Monday and I must say it lived up to my expectations! Little J's fashion continues to impress me and Blair and Chuck are just the ca-you-test.

One Tree Hill was good... not great because let's face it without my girl Peyton it will never be great. Boo.

90210 is 90210. Sure, It may be one of the cheesiest shows with the worst acting but I'm still a fan. Poor Annie.

okay... for the new shows on the scene I'm not too impressed yet... let's hope TBL meets our high expectation! And since it is a show about modeling and that world I bet this means fashion. Cheers to that!

For someone who says I don't like TV I sure do get around to watching a lot. But my shows deserve a time slot. Even if it is hard to sit through some of them.

Near the end of 2008 I remember seeing previews of the 2009 clothing collections and fashion fads that will be happening. I remember being extremely skeptical that any of the things would actual become big like hmmm metallic clothing, fringe etc... Ring a bell? Well It should! Go into a store today and you'll see that everywhere - metallic, fringe, leather, acid wash, zippers! - and it seems totally natural. It's strange how fashion evolves and how your brain adjusts to it without you even noticing it.

Just like this whole faux fur epidemic... Personally I think It's the most hideous thing in the world but hey maybe in the next couple months I'll learn to love it? well, maybe not but you get the drift.

So tip to the unwise... LISTEN to the experts! If they say it will happen, most likely, it will. And you better believe that the hottest people will be rocking the new looks as soon as possible.

Anyways, I'm no fashion expert myself but I can tell you that I have a gift for guessing what is going to be huge and let me tell you it's all about jackets this fall!

let us be honest, are we not all?

to quote one of the stars of this show it is all about "the sex and the blood"

sex and blood, sex and blood.

This racy, hilarious, sexy show is almost finished up its second season and I literally watched all of the episodes in 2 days. That's right I sat in front of my screen for just about 10 hours a day and watched and watched and watched. It's addicting to say the least.

The unique cast is a big part of the draw but also the fact that it strays from the rules of the usual shows we see today. It does not play safe... and that's the fun part.

I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't appreciate the humor and stories told in true blood but if you thrive on change and fantasies and difference you'll love it.

It has been the cause of many lust filled, action packed dreams.

Oh and did I mention the mythology factor? Mainly being vampires. Hence the name true blood! Yes that's right you crazy vamp lovers - me included, no worries - there are plenty of fang and 'fang bangers' alike in this HBO original series.

don't miss this. It's THE show.

This is not something I say often but I am excited to go back to school. It's august and were getting closer and I'm pumped to see what this year brings.

I love the idea of looking different when you back to school because let's face it everyone changes in two months... it's just inevitable. Some people shed baby fat or gain some weight, some people's skin clears right up or they've gotten a fierce new haircut. It's all really amazing to see people grow up.

This year I am definitely changed. I look back a year ago and I had a completely different view on fashion. And that is a okay.

I'm planning on going to back to the school with a new hairdo, new attitude and of course the best part... a new wardrobe.

This years back-to-school-must-haves are:

Do what I do... sit down with a notebook, open up your Teen Vogue, then just jot down any style, makeup, attitude tips that serve you! It works insanely proactively.

exciting news for you book worms like me: found an extremely cool book

what's it called? sloppy firsts by Megan McCafferty ... confused? Yeah, I was too. But fear not it all explains itself during the reading process.

It's such a witty, funny, at times depressing with it's relevance to any and all teenager's life, and also put-your-life-in-perspective kind of book. Unlike anything I've read which is a plus. It's a step up from the books i use as a therapeutic escapism from the real world because there actually is truth and honesty in the work.

Also something totally nerdy I love to do is learn new words... when I see a word I don't know or quite know what context to use it in I research it. I know this calls for a lame as hell 8-) face. (who uses those anymore, let's be honest) Anyways, sloppy firsts has about a zillion new adjectives and other words that I learned.

You'll love that McCafferty writes about things that you've definately expierienced before and the touchy subjects that no one ever actually brings up, but actually makes for an amazing excruciatingly honest story.

Oh and it's a series for those of you who love 'em. So you can spend multiple days relating to Jessica's - the main character's - world.

Personally I like to pretend I still don't have boobs and bought myself one just like the model above only in black - I'm obsessed with black lately - and it's great for tanning, wearing under a slouchy shirt or dress or using as a bra I guess. (be sure to tape yourself if you do this though, no one wants to see a case of nippe-itis when a sudden breeze shows up)

There are tons of different styles and colours too. They come in cotton but they also come in spandex etc... and since they aren't much material really I've seen them range from as low as 7 $ to a high and might 24$ - but I'm sure they come more expensive than that. Me I splurged for an 18$ baby.

You can get bathing suit tops in bandeau style too obviously and they are really in this summer!

Strapless a little to promiscuous for you little i-pretend-I'm-a-good-girl girl's, well than go for one with straps... they exist. hallelujah.

so get in on this hot trend... because it's not so new and you're way late if you haven't picked up on it yet! (no offence of course)

so often do we feel hot in the summer yes? and so often do we go in the freezer and see that alluring box of ice cream in there and salivate over how delicious it looks, do we not?

well, I do.

and so this summer i've discovered the perfect alternative... frozen yogurt!

It's comes in all differet flavors and who doesn't love fruit? you're nuts if you don't! My personal fav is the safe banana strawberry but you can always mix it up!

It's not that expensive... it's just as delicious... and it actually makes you pretty full... and here's the great part... wait for it

it's not that bad for you! yay, happy cheers all around.

get your lazy ass off the couch and get some exercise and when you're hot don't go grab some ice cream... grab some frozen yogurt!

p.s it's also available in non fat and no sugar added

debauchery, scandal, intoxication, murder...

If you're into this shit like I am then the Private series is definitely for you!

I've definitely ready my share of teen easy reads and we all know how it goes but I especially loved this series. I heard about these books a long time ago and never really got around to it. The dreaded part for me is always starting a book... there's no point in starting if it's going to be bad right? well that's my philosophy. But I was lucky... it was pretty dang fabu! My amazing mother - wacko but amazing non the less - bought me the first four books in a box set and I read them all in about a week and then I went by the library and picked up the next four. I read each one in a day... impressive considering I was babysitting at the same time.

I also read the spin off, am about to read the prequel and plan on buying the 9Th book tomorrow because I'm too impatient to wait for one to become available.

What I loves especially about this one is that it's written in first person. My favorite point of view is definitely first person. You get to have another mind for the time being and live what they are living... like an out of body experience - deep man ;)

so hit up the local book store or library, grab a grande low fat latte and get yourself this series.

My most recent change is that I am eating minimum meat and my goal is to become vegetarian. It's hard but I know I can do it.

recommended reading!

You never know what you may find at yard sales! As you know I am a huge fan of healthy eating and lifestyles. And I am also a big believer in changing up your patterns for a healthy, always exciting view on life. I found a great book for all you go hard dieters that never seem to find the right thing... "Skinny Bitch" by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin! The title obviously caught my eye, but when I read the first page I knew I had to purchase it.

It's witty, a bit rude but totally honest and funny. It also has great statistics and facts and I know that you'll love reading it.

I found out that they have various works like this.

I'm not finished reading the book but after what I've read so far i have learned so much already.

Being a teenager is hard (.)

Not saying that it isn't awesome sometimes, but it definitely has its downs.
we've got tons of publicity for bullying and drugs and alcohol etc... but a huge problem that we don't acknowledge enough in our society especially today is body image and disorders.

If I ever do become a successful author (or at least publishes) one or more of my projects will definitely be about that.

It's an enormous issue with Young people and there needs to be more things like Seventeen magazine's body peace treaty that encourages healthy life styles (staying fit, but also being happy with how you are).

March Break

March Break is finally here. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by already!

Today weather was so nice (considering I live in effing snow village) and it feels like spring outside. I just can't wait until I can lay outside and tan by the pool with a spiked ice tea.

This week is supposed to be a break from everything and that's why I am just doing anything I want.

Tonight I'm going to the second party since Friday and Tuesday I'm going to another.

I just think it's super important to have fun this break. And also I think it's super important to look great while doing it.

Even though it's just barely spring a cute dress is perfect for march break parties. Another thing is jeans and a cute top (ex: green flowy tube top) with some cute accessories. One thing to stay away from while partying it up in a cold place is short shorts. I get that you're inside but it's just tacky to me to wear short shorts when there is still a bit of snow on the ground.

Have the time of your lives this week and remember that you can't go back and redo these days so make the BEST of everything you do!

This weekend I attended The Pulse On Tour 2009 convention in Toronto, Ontario with some friends and took eight workshops with a bunch of the best choreographers in the world.

Some of the awesome guests were:

-Mia Michaels
-Wade Robson
-Bryan Friedman
-Chris Judd
-Tyce Diorio

& more (including Janet Jackson's choreographer)

This weekend made me really appreciate the aspect of always bettering myself and taking nothing for granted. Especially dance. It's such a beautiful, amazing art and is truly one of the hardest things you can do.

Mia Michaels' speech about perfection and how individuality is so important brought tears to my eyes, as did two of the assistants Karen Chuang and Ryan Ramirez. They were so intricate in the way they moved and could transform their bodies to look like anything they wanted to.

Wade Robson and Mia Michaels held the best workshops, I think. Every move Wade did was jaw dropping and he was literally pouring sweat (weirdly, it was so hot) . Every thing that comes out of Mia's mouth was genius.

I definitely recommend this convention to all aspiring dancers. It's inspiring, funky, uncomfortable, challenging and most of all a new experience that will change - better you.

Siste-romance

siste-romance :that word isn't really witty at all, but hey who cares? (bromance, siste-romance GET IT?)

Find a day during the week when you can just relax and spend some quality time with your sister, or brother! It's definitely worth it. You'll feel closer and it's really great to tell your siblings things and not have to keep everything a secret.

I have two older sisters and now that I'm a little bit older they seem to trust me more and more. I really love talking to them and letting them give me advice on things they've already experienced.

You have to live with them and they'll be in your life for a long time so It's good to be close.

When I'm hungry I usually eat fruit or an All-Bran bar - something healthy. And lately I've been staying away from any and all sorts of deserts. Yesterday I had my mom go grocerie shopping for me and buy Cool Whip Light and Jello Light. I put it together and it is such a devine thing I almost screamed.

Seriously, if you're in the mood for something delicious but don't want to eat 5000 calories in one meal try this!

Ray Bans attack

The hottest sunglasses of 2008 - for me at least - were Ray Ban Wayfarers (Edward Cullen's trade mark glasses in Twilight) and other Ray Ban styles too.

They come in tons of different colours and can go with any look - grungy, classic, funky whatever... you should definately try on a pair of these.
I still love them though in 2009 and I'm going to be collecting them. For my birthday in May I'm going to ask for a pair of Wayferer 2s in light pink and light blue. They're adorable and very summery.

Every Tuesday morning I get out my trusty laptop and watch the episode of The City that I missed the night before.

I often turn my favorite reality TV star for fashion tips. I am in love with everything that Whitney wears and how she does her hair. But I also know that she has mucho money and stylists and experience that I and probably you don't have. So, I try my best to mimic things here and there.

My favorite easy hair style is her boho side braids. They're totally fast and simple to do and look great for anything.

Pashmina Phenomenon

Pashminas (and other material scarfs in general) are making a huge come back! I can't deny it for I have at least 20 in my full-length mirror jam packed closet. I have a variety of colours and patterns and I just can't get enough of them.

I was thinking the other day how funny it is that in 2003 (I think it was then) when the show Popular - a super funny show by the way - was filmed, Pashminas were way out and everyone on the show was trying to get rid of them. Back then, all the popular kids were donating their pashminas to the unfortunate unpopular students and today it most likely wouldn't be like that.

So, here's a tip: Scarfs rock. They can complete an outfit if it's lacking some oumf, or if you really want to wear your new red shoes, or earring but your wearing all black - random colour (not saying red and black are a fantastic combination) - throw on that red pashmina and you're good to go!

Tight Booty Banana-Berry Smoothie

As a competitive dancer I am a complete health freak. Most of my costumes are skimpy (not even lying, a bra from La Senza and booty booty shorts with a little extra sparkle!) and so I try to look good and be in shape as much as possible.

It's getting closer to competition season now too. Actually I just had my showcase (competition rehearsal) at a theatre in my hometown yesterday. So, anyways, I've been really calorie and protein cautious.

My mom and I were just driving to dance and she turned to me and says, "I found a recipe for a tight butt and firm thighs," and smiled. I burst out laughing of course but she made it for me and It's actually quite refreshing and you get all your required fruits for the day in one drink/ snack!

I'm not sure if this is the exact one but I found this on the net and it's similar!

Tight Booty Banana-Berry Smoothie

2 ripe, small/medium bananas (preferably organic),
cut in slices 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries (preferably organic)
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (preferably organic)
1 (4 oz.) strawberry yogurt
2/3 c soy milk or skim (preferably organic)
3 Tbsp. milled or ground flax seed (preferably organic)
6 - 7 ice cubes
1/4 teaspoon of stevia powder extract (preferably organic)

Place all ingredients in a blender and mix on medium-high speed for 45 seconds or until smoothly whipped. Pour into 4 glasses and serve immediately for you and your lucky guests.
